Since I've discovered BigBangs, I've been having a blast with them, but decided I need a master post with the list and status of each one (and whether I'm successful in them... :D ).

1. hetbigbang- Finished - Now and Then (Jericho fic)

2. journeystory- Finished - Historian's Daughter (Original)

3. angstbigbang- January 9th - Rough drafts due.  Submitted!  February 28th - Final drafts due.  Fic in progress = follow-up to Historian's Daughter.  ETA March 12/12 - I bailed on this one.  I re-read my draft and realized it...sucked.  I mean, really sucked.  I wrote it and I was bored into a coma!  I'm keeping the draft because I think it has potential but it needs way too much work before it can safely see the light of day.   BAILED

4. smallfandombang- January 31st - Rough drafts due.  Jericho!!  Yay!!  ETA:  Sent off on time - \whoo!/ Final drafts due:  March 31st; posting begins April 5th.  April 10/12 - Posting date:  April 16th.  *bounces nervously*.  Parts 1 and 2 are here.  There's also great art to check out, too.  :D

5. bigbangbuffet- February 7th - Summaries due.  Original - this is my 2010 Script about ghosts and aliens.  ETA - Summary sent off, even though I've only written ~1700 new words so far.  Final due:  April 15th.  April 29/12 - My posting date is May 13th.  I have an artist who's done some great stuff - and I've figured out a major plot point!!  Whoo!!

6. 100k_supernova- March 1st - Posting Begins.  A Life Less Ordinary - Original.  This is my 2011 script that I'm converting to a novel.  ETA - deadline extended to end of March.  ETA March 12/12 - I'm not sure I'm going to finish this before March 31st, but I think we have an amnesty period afterwards...regardless - I love it and I'll be sharing the finished product here at least.  :D  FAILED

7. hc_bigbang- February 12th  ETA:  Whoops - misread the schedule.  Actually, March 11th - Rough draft due.  I think this one is going to be Jericho again.  :)  April 10/12 - I got nothin' for this challenge, so today I officially bailed on it.  :(  BAILED

8.  crossbigbang - April 23rd - Rough draft due.  I've got an Iron Man/Haven crossover in the works.  I...I have no idea where it came from...  O.O  April 29/12 - I have an artist!!  And a very excited one, too!!  :D

9.  casestory - May 1st - Rough draft due.  Which is awesome, because my idea for ScriptFrenzy 2012 fits this BigBang.  \o/  So, Original.  :)  April 29/12 - This was also supposed to be my ScriptFrenzy script...yeah.  I have two characters, an idea and a snippet of dialogue.  Somehow it doesn't meet the criteria... *pouts*  BAILED

10.  heroinebigbang - April 25th - Rough draft due.  This will likely be Jericho, although if I get more ideas for Haven and/or Iron Man...you never know...  April 29/12 - I bailed on this one, too.  Not a plot bunny in sight...  BAILED

11.  spacebigbang - June 10th - Rough draft due.  Erm...have no idea, really.  If it's fandom, it'll be Star Trek (OS or Reboot); Star Wars (the Luke/Leia/Han ones); Babylon 5 (maybe) or Original.  Still waiting for an idea...

12.  getyourwordsout - Challenge:  20,000 word fic due June 1st.

13.  novel_bigbang - June 30th - Rough draft due.  This may end up being my 2009 NaNo novel Best Before Date.  Yay!!  :D

*mental note - may have to go to the sites and update my calendar. :D *

*whispers back* B5 really, really is totally awesome - which is why it kind of scares me to try it. :D

Although perhaps a Marcus story would work...*ponders*

Quotes

"All right," said Susan. "I'm not stupid. You're saying humans need...fantasies to make life bearable."

REALLY? AS IF IT WAS SOME KIND OF PINK PILL? NO. HUMANS NEED FANTASY TO BE HUMAN. TO BE THE PLACE WHERE THE FALLING ANGEL MEETS THE RISING APE.

"Tooth fairies? Hogfathers? Little --"

YES. AS PRACTICE. YOU HAVE TO START OUT LEARNING TO BELIEVE THE LITTLE LIES.

"So we can believe the big ones?"

YES. JUSTICE. MERCY. DUTY. THAT SORT OF THING.

-- Susan and Death in Hogfather by Terry Pratchett

---------------------

"And no practical definition of freedom would be complete without the freedom to take the consequences. Indeed, it is the freedom upon which all the others are based."

-- Lord Vetinari in Going Postal by Terry Pratchett

---------------------

They thought the Library was a dangerous place because of all the magical books, which was true enough, but what made it really one of the most dangerous places there could ever be was the simple fact that it was a library.

-- Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett

---------------------

As a wizard, it was something that Ponder had only before encountered in acorns: a tiny soundless voice which said, yes, I am but a small, green, simple object - but I dream about forests.

-- Interesting Times by Terry Pratchett

---------------------

In the 24th century, there will be no hunger. There will be no greed. And every child will know how to read.

-- Gene Roddenberry, as repeated by Jonathan Frakes in the documentary How William Shatner Changed the World

---------------------

We've got two lives, one we're given and the other one we make
And the world won't stop, and actions speak louder
Listen to your heart, and what your heart might say
Everything we got, we got the hard way.

-- Mary Chapin Carpenter, The Hard Way from the album Come On, Come On

---------------------

Cause when they own the information, oh
They can bend it all they want.

-- John Mayer, Waiting on the World to Change from the album Continuum

---------------------

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says, "I'll try again tomorrow."

-- Mary Anne Radmacher, as seen in Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Tales to Inspire

---------------------

I never loved the soldier
Until there was a war.
Or thought about tomorrow
'til my baby hit the floor.
I only talk to God
When somebody's about to die.
I never cherished freedom
Freedom never cries.

-- Five for Fighting, Freedom Never Cries from the album Two Lights

---------------------

It may sound absurd: but don't be naive
Even heroes have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed: but won't you concede
Even heroes have the right to dream

-- Five for Fighting, Superman (It's Not Easy) from the album American Town

---------------------

Had a dream last night took a time travellin' ride
Back to my childhood where those monsters reside
They snack on innocence and dine on self-esteem
But I like to be in touch with what makes me scream
Vampires, mummies and the Holy Ghost
These are the things that terrify me the most.
No alien, psychopath or MTV host
Scares me like vampires, mummies and the Holy Ghost.

-- Jimmy Buffett, Vampires, Mummies and the Holy Ghost from the album Fruitcakes

---------------------

"I want to believe that... the dead are not lost to us. That they speak to us... as part of something greater than us - greater than any alien force. And if you and I are powerless now, I want to believe that if we listen, to what's speaking, it can give us the power to save ourselves."

-- Fox Mulder, The X-Files from the episode The Truth, pt. 2
