Firstly: If you've been tagged, you must write your answers in your own LJ and replace any question that you dislike with a new, original question.
Secondly: Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.

Have you ever lied to a teacher to get out of a deadline?
Nope.  I just waved at the deadlines as they flew by...  ;)

Do you play an instrument?
Sadly, no.

What's your occupation?
Official title:  Manager, Contract Advisory Services.  Actual work:  I manage the procurement of contracted services for two Government of Alberta departments.  That is, I review/write Requests for Proposals and manage that process.

What's really creepy?
Spiders.  And some people who just make my skin crawl, but I can't explain why.

Who's your celebrity crush?
Oh, dear...I don't actually crush on the actual celebrity.  I have a few crushes on fictional people, who may be played by rather handsome actors, but I don't really have a crush on the actors.  So, for fictional people, I (currently) crush on:
  • Samuel Vimes (Discworld - the Night Watch sub-set of the novels; I always envision him as looking like Bruce Willis, and I love him so, so desperately);
  • Josh Lyman (The West Wing)
  • Major Edward Beck (Jericho - surprise!  LOL )(and yes, he's actually at number 3 - but number 1 in my muse's heart.  {sigh} )
  • Leroy Jethro Gibbs (NCIS)
  • Seeley Booth (Bones)
(I used to be madly in love with Mel Gibson, but I've yet to forgive him for being a drunken racist sexist idiot, and I probably never will  unless evidence comes out that the incident was mis-reported/exaggerated, or I can truly believe he's changed his ways...)

What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Well, Jericho for writing/reading fanfiction (surprise - again!).  Otherwise, it's Bones, NCIS and Fringe is definitely gaining ground.

What are you listening to right now?
All Hell for a Basement - Big Sugar ("I have lost my way, but I hear tell, about a heaven in Alberta - where they've got all hell for a basement") - awesome, AWESOME song, with a really cool history to the title.

What are you most excited for?
Ummmm...the weekend...??  LOL

What websites do you always visit when you go online?
LiveJournal and Facebook.

What was the last thing you bought?
A coffee and a piece of banana bread, because I'm feeling rather ill today and don't want too much in my tummy if I end up worshipping at the porcelain altar.

What was the funniest thing you've seen today?
My cat racing through the house and not being able to go very fast because he can't get a grip on the bare floor.   The paws are moving, but the rest of him...ain't.  LOL

Does the weather affect your mood?
Ooooooohhhhhhhhh, yeah.  Too many dark, grey, cold days give me the "highly homicidal, semi-suicidal why-the-hell-do-I-live-here blues".  :D

What is your zodiac sign?
(this is the dawning of the age of) Aquarius.

Do you want to learn another language?
Would love to - but have discovered that I have no talent for learning how to speak another language.  I can learn to read it fairly easily but speaking it is just...sad...  :(

What's one thing you love about your life right now?
That I am at relative peace with myself.

Do you have any siblings?
Four brothers, three sisters.

What's something you'd like to say to someone right now?
Hmmmm....you know, that's a tough one...trying to choose the one that won't get me into trouble if somebody in my real life runs across this journal....hmmmm.... Well, to my parents:  Having a wonderful time; wish you were here.  :)

Do you have to pee?
Don't we all?

Say something to the person who tagged you:
LOL - thanks for the tag, onceiwasaturtle .

Ummm...sorry, I don't think I'll be tagging anybody specifically.  Just...everybody on my friends list, except for onceiwasaturtle??  :)  (Mainly because it's 1:00 and I need to get back to work...)

It's nice to do this sort of thing every once in awhile and get to know more about everyone! ♥

LOL - that's true. These are quite fun, actually - and you're right, we find out more about the people on our friends list! :)

Thanks for tagging me. (Really! :D).

I enjoyed reading the answers. May consider myself tagged and do the meme.

The thing about your cat made me giggle in an unseemly manner. Cats are so cute when they do stuff like that, because they like to present themselves as so superior....

Also... Samuel Vimes? Oh yes, so much in agreement with you there!

LOL - thanks! Yes, cats try to be so very dignified, and then are just absolute goofballs. I wish I had answered this the next day, because he had tried to jump on the (flat) banister in order to intimidate me as I walked by, and didn't quite calculate the jump correctly. So, I'm standing there, bemused, as he's scrambling to (a) maintain his hold; (b) drag himself up onto the banister, and (c) look like he meant to do that!! {shakes head} I love cats. :D

Also... Samuel Vimes? Oh yes, so much in agreement with you there!

A fellow Sam Vimes lover!! {huggles} I swear, there's at least one moment in every Sam Vimes book when I burst out with "I LOVE YOU!" Not such a good thing to do when you're sitting on a bus...but oh, so satisfying! LOL
