February 2010 Update

 

 

  1. Cut credit card debt by 10%.

  2. Read all my unread books - (0/867 (13/873 - 1.49%)


  3. Go through credit cards and get rid of all those programs I'm paying for and don't use.

  4. Read 25% of the books listed here:  (as of December 31, 2009)

  5. Check out 25% of the fandoms listed here:  (as of December 31, 2009).

  6. Go home for Christmas 2011.

  7. Deal with the stuff I always keep putting off (insurance company; etc.)

  8. Get all caught up with Rev Canada

  9. After September 29, 2011 rent  a movie once a month.

  10. After September 29, 2011 go to a movie in the theatre once a month.

  11. Cancel GST number.

  12. Participate in at least 25% of the communities I belong to as of December 31/09.  This means making a claim/posting stories and/or commenting on posts (depending on the community).

  13. Read all postings made to at least 25% of the communities I belong to as of December 31/09 (that means from the beginning of the community to "now").

  14. Post comments to postings to the communities in #13 that I really enjoyed.  Who cares if the feedback is years late??

  15. Write an average of 1000 words per day for the 1001 days.  This doesn't mean I have to write 1000 words every day, but that at the end of the 1001 days, I've written 1,001,000 words.  (10,908/1,001,000 - 1.09%)  (14,677/1.001.000 - 1.47%)  (22,300/1,001,000 - 2.23%)
     

  16. Eat at restaurants from A to Z.  (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z)  (3/26)
    February 28/10 - Knew I needed to keep track of something.  LOL  Okay, I ate at Thanh Thanh on Friday night; at the very least, Edo's, Treats and Fat Frank's during the week.

    February 28/10 - Hmmm...purchased a game at Last Day of Work; shopped at Shopper's Drug Mart...that's all I can remember at the moment (oh, and BigFishGames, of course).


  19. Make 3003 different dishes by actually following recipes (because if something's worth doing, it's worth over-doing)  (0/3003).
    February 28/10 - Whoops.  Haven't even started this one, although I've definitely been thinking about it!  Usually when I'm looking in my fridge going "what the @@@@ do I make for supper???"  Which, this week, has been around 7 - 8 p.m. which is when I've been making it home from work.  :(

  20.     February 28/10 - Well, I accomplished this in January but not in February.  :(  Well, March is another month.  :)


  21. Successfully complete NaNoWriMo 2011.

  22. Make one new off-line friend in 2011.

  23. Write every day.  (0/1001)  (59/1001)
    February 28/10 - So far so good.  I've been writing every day even it's only been 10 words  :D .


  24. Pay off one credit card.

  25. Cancel the credit card when it's paid off.

  26. Find and enter at least three writing contests.


  27. Find and enter at least three writing challenges OTHER than NaNoWriMo (not necessarily the same as #49).
    February 28/10 - ScriptFrenzy starts April 1st and I've been plotting like mad.  :D  See this post here for more details.  If anybody has any actors to suggest - feel free!  :D

  28. Uncurdle the milk of human kindness flowing in my veins.

  29. CLEAN the dining room once a year.

  30. CLEAN the kitchen once a year.

  31. CLEAN the livingroom once a year.

  32. CLEAN the office once a year.

  33. CLEAN the bedroom once a year.

  34. CLEAN the spare room once a year.

  35. CLEAN the bathroom once a year.

  36. CLEAN the cat room once a year.

  37. CLEAN the rest of the attic once a year.

  38. Participate in at least one Edmonton NaNo event in 2010.

  39. Participate in at least one Edmonton NaNo event in 2011.

  40. Participate in at least one singles only event sometime between September 29, 2011 and September 28, 2012.

  41. Seriously investigate solar panels for the house (if I don't sell it).

  42. Figure out why my kitchen/diningroom are so freakin' cold and do something about it.

  43. Pay off the neighbour for the fence they built in summer 2009.
    February 28/10 - CRAP!!  Good thing I put this on the list because I'd forgotten all about it!!! 

  44. Switch the spare room and the bedroom.

  45. Move the TV into the livingroom (not as simple as it sounds...)

  46. Get somebody in to check the wiring in this place.

  47. Buy really good space heaters, especially for the kitchen/dining room.

  48. Investigate getting a generator (where would I put it?)

  49. Investigate getting a tankless water heater.

  50. Expand the deck to the size I want.

  51. Pick one day a week to go grocery shopping - and then GO GROCERY SHOPPING.

  52. Get a physical sometime between September 29, 2011 and September 28, 2012.

  53. Watch the Kentucky Derby in 2010, 2011 and 2012 (sily I know, but I forgot it this year!!  The first time in about 10 years...).

  54. Watch the Preakness in 2010, 2011 and 2012 (see #76).

  55. Watch the Beaumont in 2010, 2011 and 2012 (see #76).

  56. Pick one day a month to go through all the paper that accumulates - and then GO THROUGH IT.  Store what needs to be stored and toss the rest.

  57. KEEP WRITING.  I don't want to lose this again.
    January 16/10 - I've been writing every day this year.  :)  Well, editing, but it's still writing...   January 31/10 - Every day, even if it's only ten words (since I'm in the midst of editing).  But I've done it every day.  Yay!!  \o/  February 28/10 - Every day, baby!  I'm addicted.  :D

  1. Watch or re-watch all the William Powell movies (except possibly Manhattan Melodrama.  Then again, it was the last movie John Dillinger ever saw, and the first pairing of William Powell/Myrna Loy so...)

  2. Make a list of all the William Powell movies I really liked in order to add to my collection.

  3. Get all the digital photos off my phone and onto my computer and get all my old (I mean really old) film developed - see if anything turns out on them..

  4. Set up my movie collection in the livingroom with the TV (not as simple as it sounds).

  5. Watch or re-watch all the Clark Gable movies (except Gone with the Wind.  Sorry - no.)

  6. Make a list of all the Clark Gable movies I really liked in order to add to my collection.

  7. Go through all my pictures and put them in albums or scrapbooks or something.  Laying around in random boxes and drawers (or hanging out on my phone or my work computer) just ain't cutting it.
    January 31/10 - Well, now that I have a scanner, I think I'll start scanning my photos.  Maybe print a book... *ponders the possibilities*

  2. Make a list of all the Myrna Loy movies I really liked in order to add to my collection.

  3. Eat at least one real meal every day.

  4. Watch or rewatch all the Howard Hawks movies.

    January 16/10 - So far, I've been taking one every day this year.  I'm not sure if it's the vitamins or the fact that I've been on holidays for four weeks - but I DO feel better.  I guess I'll find out how this works once I'm back at work on Monday.  LOL

  1. Watch or re-watch all of the John Wayne movies.

  2. Start drinking more water.  Start at one full glass a day on the weekends and work up to eight (I don't need to be going to the bathroom every five minutes at work, thanks.).
    January 16/10 - I bought four litres of carbonated water and drank three glasses of it yesterday and the day before.  Yay!  I looove carbonated water...  :)   January31/10 - We-e-ell, one weekend this month anyway...  :(

  1. Buy a Roomba or something similar (will it pick up the cat fur??)

  2. After watching/re-watching all my DVDs/Tapes decide whether I want to keep them.  If not, get rid of them.

  3. Go to Montreal to visit my nephew (before he moves away from there).

  4. Go to the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal.

  5. Write one fiction novel between September 29, 2011 and September 28, 2012.

  6. Write one non-fiction book between September 29, 2011 and September 28, 2012.  Or at least get one started.

79.  Repaint the house (interior) if I haven't sold it.

80.  Rewatch all my DVDs/tapes.

81.  Get all the movies I taped off TV on DVD. 

 

82.  Go through all the boxes in my house.  Store, use or toss.

 

83.  Move everything upstairs downstairs.
